whiskey party inspiration
for my last party post with
hayneedle, i went with a masculine birthday party centered around a whiskey and cigar theme. i always seem to default to pretty flowers and pink decor, so i thought this would be a fun challenge for myself and something you don't find a lot around the web... well, at least not as much as pretty pink birthday parties ;) today i'm sharing a few of the details that didn't make the cut for the full post, so once you are done scrolling through here,
pop on over to hayneedle and check out the full post where i chat about how i pulled it together and what products i used to get there.
i was inspired by a travel theme where the party host or guest of honor may have loved to collect things on their trips. you could incorporate those elements and even make them into decor. for the garlands i used shells with tiny holes drilled in them to display and sewed together scraps of fabric. how great would it be to create a garland from fabric and/or blankets you've collected from different countries!?
i served a giant plate of meat and cheeses to go with the whiskey, scotch and cigars that were also set out for party goers to enjoy.
this favor idea was really one of my fave elements. i packaged up a stone (meant for chilling and popping in your fancy whiskey, not just a stone from my yard) with a mini bottle of jd and wrapped with instructions on a few ways you could enjoy.
and i mean, come on, how can a party not be fab with a giant marquee letter for the birthday boy? impossible.
remember to stop by and
check out the full post here to see more details. what do you think? would your man appreciate this little set up? (mine sure did after the shoot was over. you can bet none of the "props" went to waste).
