transitioning summer pieces to fall // style
over the last week + weekend we've had pretty much the perfect weather in southern california. sun is shining and temps are finally out of the 80's (for now). so i've been looking for ways to take my summer staples and work them into my fall wardrobe. 2 things that i will definitely be stocking up on are hats and booties. they take pretty much any summer piece and fall-ify it.
and just because temperatures drop, doesn't mean we stop throwing our backyard get togethers out here. we celebrate outdoors until something like rain forces us inside. so when
yellow 108 sent over one of their
fabulous hats for me to style, i thought it would be the perfect piece to show an easy ensemble for a simple 'indian summer' party, and how to take a summer dress into fall.
all of
yellow 108's hats are made from salvaged and recycled materials and i love that. i think more and more every day about how i can make less of an impact, reusing things and repurposing things, and this company perfectly represents how you can do so and stay on trend.
i took my go to maxi dress, added my new felt fedora, some fun booties and lots of gold accessories to dress it up a bit from my normal day to day wear.
in love with this new fox bracelet. can't stop wearing it.
another new obsession? clutches... they're not just for nighttime any more. i feel like the more i use, the more organized i stay since i have to move everything to a new one each day. hey, whatever it takes to stay organized with a busy schedule right?
style isn't something that i've posted about a ton before, but it is something i love (and actually went to school for!), so it seems like the next natural step to start talking about occasionally here. since i work from home, i definitely won't be posting my day to day outfits, unless you want to see my collection of yoga pants. but i would love to share how i would dress for a get together, date night, dinner parties.. you know, the special occasions of life:) hope you enjoy!

yellow 108 sent me a hat because they're super duper nice. this post was purely out of my love for how it has enhanced my wardrobe and was not required ]
