avocado and black bean won ton // game day appetizer + giveaway

i'll admit, i'm not a huge fan of sports. one thing i am a fan of is entertaining though. so if it takes a game day to get the friends together, well then i'm... game ;) and i'll continue to be honest by saying, i really do get into it sometimes. i mean, something that brings people together around yummy food and cocktails, it's hard not to be a fan of that. but moving right along through my bi-polar-ness over sports, here's a little recipe that you need in your back pocket for game days. baseball now, football soon, and the fact that avocados are in season all year just means you can make these for all of those get togethers. score.

i love nachos but they are just super messy and not convenient. so i created a sort of "portable" nacho with won ton wrappers! here is what you'll need to create a batch of your own:

won ton wrappers, avocados, canned black beans, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, canola oil, and sour cream for dipping.

start to heat a small pan while prepping your ingredients.

chop your avocado and drain your beans. place a heaping teaspoon of each in the center of your won ton wrapper. sprinkle a bit of garlic powder, onion powder and cumin on each. dip your finger in water and run it around the edge of the wrapper and close it in a triangle fold.

dig a fork into the edge to secure. finally, brush on a tiny bit of oil to both sides and pop in your hot pan until they are slightly crispy, about 1 minute on each side.

ta da! tasty treats that are easy to grab and won't leave a mess all over your ottoman and couch;) i served with a touch of sour cream, so good.
