How to Make a Holiday Herb Garland for Your Bar Cart | DIY
Thanksgiving and Friendsgiving celebrations are stressful enough as it is with food prep. That is, after all, the main focus of the gathering... I mean, besides the loved ones you are with;) So I wanted to share how one gorgeous garland can elevate a simple bar cart from plain to festive. Plus the fact that this smells amazing doesn't hurt!
You'll need lots of herbs (I used rosemary, basil, sage, dill and thyme. I also threw in some sturdy branches to help stabilize the garland), scissors and floral wire.
Create a stable base for your garland by using the branches i mentioned, or starting with thick herbs like rosemary. Start at one end, wrapping it in wire. Continue with one piece of wire and overlap your herbs until you have a strand long enough to stretch the length you need.
Once you have your garland assembled and displayed, I recommend going back and tucking in the more delicate herbs like the dill and basil. Fill in any holes and add fullness with these.
Prep your herbs the day before and assemble the day of your gathering to prevent any wilting. Finally, add your cocktails, and enjoy!
