Hand Lettered Happy Hour and Brunch Clutches | DIY
You've seen them, the super cute and sassy clutches with fun words and quotes. Well, i've wanted one for a long long time... but hello, have you seen the prices? Not in the budget for something I might where out once, every other month. Which is why I DIY. Ya, decent hand writing might make this one a bit easier, but you can even trace on some words you've printed. And I think your own hand writing will give it more character! So who's going to give this one a shot? I'm taking mine to Vegas this weekend, I'll let you know how it goes;)
Supplies:
- Any faux leather clutch or pouch, real leather if you want to be extra fancy... and if you aren't completely terrified of ruining it with paint! I bought mine at urban a while back but these are sold out. You can find some similar ones here, here or here.
- Acrylic ink
- Brush, I used a size 2 filbert
Paint your clutch with any fun quote, words, patterns, etc. Let dry and you're done! I will most likely be using these for packing jewelry and little things on trips when they aren't in use for happy hour and brunch.
If you're up for a little tracing, I shared a secret here for transfering an outline and painting over it to make it look like you have amazing lettering skills;)
