February Bar Cart Edit
I love love love when holidays fall on the weekends. I feel like it gives you more time to celebrate and you aren't rushing through because of work (ugh, work, jk, i love my job). And also you can drink all the champagne and not have to worry about getting up early the next day;) I've been slacking on my bar cart game. Honestly, we haven't been using it as much as i'd like to. I guess we can blame in on winter. We haven't exactly been entertaining that much (and not quite sure what winter has to do with it, the cold? the rain? i'm lazy?).
Anyways, wanted to spruce it up a bit for vday, and February in general. Here are my go to tips for an easy bar cart update if you need a few last minute guidelines for your own!
The light box is back! I kind of forgot about it for a few months, but it was too perfect to add a little love note for my valentine.
Don't display ugly matches. It's the easiest accessory you can add almost anywhere in your home. Put them in a bowl or any shallow vase to make them extra fancy. I usually cut off the strike strip and glue it to the bottom of whatever I put my matches in (actually shared a whole post about it here!). There's also an abundance of adorable match boxes these days, so stock up.
I make lists ALL over the house, so having supplies on the bar cart is not strange at all for me. You can also use these for jotting down recipes or ingredients you need to grab for your fave cocktail! I made these with some paper scraps and the stamp from one of our Wilde House boxes.
Add some art. I love this print so much, Megan illustrated it for our Feb Box. Framed art, quotes and pictures are always something I add to our cart. You can see some more ideas I shared here too!
And lastly, sometimes the bar cart can feel a bit harsh, so 2 things I ALWAYS add to soften it up are fresh flowers and a pretty towel or napkin on the handle. Simple touches change it up so much!
