A Day in the Life | Style
For the longest time, I've been wanting to share a behind the scenes look at what goes into a day around here. And while, what i'm sharing today is most definitely just the highlights, there is a lot of running around, shopping, sourcing meeting, eating, wine-ing and picture taking that actually fits into many of my days. Cole Haan asked me to share how I would transition their new 2.ZERØGRAND shoes in a few different looks, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity. From running out of the house in the am to source things for a shoot, to winding down the day with a glass of wine and girlfriends, there are always a few wardrobe changes in between. Today I'll be showing you how to transition one pair of super versatile shoes 3 times in one day, while staying comfy and stylish for all of your to-dos.
You'd think shopping would be like, the best activity you could ever call work, right? But man, does it get stressful when you're on a timeline, on the hunt for specific items, and have to go to 52 different stores. You will usually find me in something comfortable with layers and whatever shoes make it on my feet before I head out the door. I added the 2.ZERØGRAND Laser Wingtip Oxford in Taupe with a simple striped shirt which instantly elevated my fave (ie. worn almost every day) yoga pants.
After a bit of errand running it was off to a cute little coffee shop for emails, catching up with a friend, and a snack after all the calories shopping burned off;) I added my go-to denim, a white tank and duster. The taupe color on these shoes is a must have for anyone with a neutral wardrobe like mine. I hardly had to even think about them matching with pieces as I grabbed them out of my closet.
And when work was complete... well, at least for that day, it was time for a large glass of wine. I love my heels on the weekend, you know, after you've had time to relax and hopefully not be on your feet all day. But after a full day of running around, they're the last thing I want to bother with. I channeled my inner street style fashion blogger and tried out one of the skirt + sneaks looks. I loved that it made the flowy skirt look a little less stuffy, and much more casual... right up my alley. I tied up an oversized tee and sipped (guzzled) my wine over mature conversation (gossip).
These really are some of the most versatile shoes I own now. I'm thinking they're really going to come in handy on our next vacay as I'm notorious for packing 17 pairs of shoes and wearing 2. There are a ton of different colors here too, something for every taste.
