craft party with the bouqs + a fresh flower giveaway!

ah, december. the most stressfully, overbooked, wonderful time of the year. usually, i am the type to take on only one social event per week. i love just being home. but, the holidays roll around and i just can't get enough of being out (or in) with family and friends and soaking in all of the christmas-ey goodness. i've already found plenty of reasons to invite people over, and last night was one of them. i hosted a holiday crafts and cocktails party. such a perfect way to get some fun decor made, wrapping embellishments and tags prepped, and socialize with the gals.

it was sort of a last minute thing which meant running from store to store gathering supplies as quickly as possible. one fabulous new site kept me sane, though, in preparing one of my must have's for a party. the fresh flowers. i picked out a bunch of pretty white ranunculus a few days ago from the bouqs, and they arrived on my doorstep the day before ready for me to arrange and entertain! rather than making a trip to the flower mart or an overcrowded grocery store, having the flowers delivered to me was a serious luxury and time saver.

most of these gorgeous bouquets are shipped directly from the farm in South America, some from CA. at first i was worried about flowers having to ship that far… but i couldn't have gotten them fresher unless i picked them myself. they were packaged up safe and sound. all i had to do was pop them in a vase.

i laid out a spread of cocktails and supplies. i had a ton of supplies already due to my hoarding problem. but i did pick up a bunch of ornaments, festive paper, and saved clippings from our tree. pillows and blankets were set on the floor as it seemed the best place for the girls to lay out their supplies and work away.

and my gals never leave empty handed. i picked up a few favors that they could use through the night then take home. we now all have these super mugs and a set of mini stamps! in addition to wine, i prepared hot cocoa and kept warm for everyone to enjoy towards the end of the night in their adorable mugs (um, spiked or not).
