Flocking Fronds Favor Bags // Maritza of Maritza Lisa
while i am away on vacation i've asked a group of talented ladies to share something with you inspired by a little end of summer vacay! i hope you enjoy and maybe even find a few new creative girls to keep tabs on. pop on over to their blogs too and say hi! - lauren
Well hello! I
’
m Maritza and you can find me over at the little paper
-
happy blog,
.
I am sooo thrilled to be here. I
’
m a huge fan of Lauren, so needless to say the opportunity to guest post is an absolute jumpy
-
clap (or 10). Today, I wanted to share a medium that
’
s new for me
–
flocking powder. When applied, it is slightly raised and has a soft velvet
-
like texture. I recently used it on glassine treat bags, and was pretty happy with the outcome. The powder added a lovely texture that I'm sure my friends and family will enjoy.
I used the
double-sided adhesive stater kit
from Silhouette America, and a
shape from their online store. The instructions are included in the kit, but can also be found
.
Things to keep in mind: After cutting, and while still on the cutting mat, slowly and carefully remove the negative pieces first (
weeding).
Once your shape is left on the mat, take it off and peel the yellow backing first, then place it on your treat bag
Remove the white liner, then apply the flocking powder - really rub it in
And you're done! Thanks so much for having me, and enjoy your treat bags!
